Lake Powell Pipeline – Arizona Strip, AZ

After completing a comprehensive Class I overview, crews from PaleoWest carried out a Class III archaeological inventory across remote areas of the Arizona Strip in support of the State of Utah Division of Water Resources’ 139-mile Lake Powell Pipeline project. PaleoWest archaeologists kept the project on-time and on-budget, recording and evaluating 144 National Register-eligible archaeological and historic sites while providing consultative leadership among the State of Utah, several federal and state agencies, 21 Native American tribes, and the Utah and Arizona State Historic Preservation Offices.
