We’re filling our offices and field sites with creative-minded, solution-driven cultural resource professionals and administrative staff.
Our permanent employees and their families enjoy good pay, health and investment benefits, bonuses for performance and publications, and a collegial work environment. Our seasonal staff gain an opportunity to grow their expertise on great projects, and the top performers get preference for upcoming projects and full-time positions.

Position Examples:
Field Technicians – We are looking to staff our projects with fit, smart field technicians with a bachelors degree or better and a “we can get this done” approach to fieldwork. You may sleep in a five-star hotel, a North Face bag under the stars, or your own bed. But you’ll wake up to a well-run project that we think will keep you professionally growing and enthused.
Project Directors – We hire advanced-degreed professionals for running our projects, developing and representing our clients, negotiating with agencies, working with tribes, and writing reports. We provide strong benefits and cash bonuses for business development, productivity, and publications. If you are an experienced archaeology professional who can effectively manage a field team and write a tight, professional report, you’ll likely find success at PaleoWest.
Principal Investigators – You’ll need to be capable of securing permits to oversee projects in various land jurisdictions across the West. You should have a Ph.D. and excellent professional credentials, but also be able to handle deadlines, budgets, and the needs of clients and agencies.
Email us at work@paleowest.com. For the best candidates we’ll either offer you a position or keep your resume active for half a year while we try to find you one.
