PaleoWest Welcomes Shawn Fackler As Regional Principal

PaleoWest is excited to welcome Shawn Fackler to its operations team! 

With nearly 20 years of experience in cultural resource management, Shawn joins the PaleoWest operations team as Regional Principal for the Northwest and Intermountain West—currently comprising offices in Las Vegas, Portland, Reno, and Salt Lake City. In this role, Shawn will manage staff and operations, lead growth initiatives, and lend his technical expertise and leadership experience to ensure successful project delivery for our valued clients in this region.  Shawn is a Registered Professional Archaeologist and exceeds the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards for Archaeology and Historic Preservation. 

Shawn’s extensive business development, management, and technical experience in all aspects of archaeological investigations, laboratory analysis, and cultural resource services for commercial and public sector undertakings make him a valuable addition to the PaleoWest team. During his career, he has successfully supervised or managed cultural resource projects, personnel, and programs across the American Southwest, California, Gulf Coast, Hawaiian Islands, Intermountain West, Pacific Northwest, and internationally in Cyprus and Sudan. He also has extensive specialized experience conducting bioarchaeological investigations that have included systematic analysis and recovery of human remains, osteological analysis, and mortuary interpretation. He has served as a bioarchaeologist on various projects stretching from Hawaii, across the continental U.S., and internationally in Sudan.
